We welcome submissions of panels and/ or papers from both practitioners and academics that address the theme development futures from diverse perspectives and with different foci, whether more issue oriented, or more concerned with theoretical and methodological themes.
Sub-themes may include among others: gender, gender diverse, and disability inclusion; First Nations and Indigenous affairs; rural livelihoods; politics of poverty and development; conflict and humanitarian responses; environmental challenges including from climate change; social change; decolonial thought and politics; local ownership; critical pedagogy; as well as the other established topics in the broad field of development studies. Of course, we encourage submissions that focus on intersectional analyses.
Submissions open December 1, 2023 and close February 16, 2024.
Panel proposal(s): Submission Guidelines
Panels should comprise at least four and no more than five papers (papers may be co-authored) and a nominated Chair. Please ensure participant representation is inclusive, including in terms of gender. Please provide all of the following information: (1) Panel Title and Abstract (2) Paper Titles and short abstracts (max 250 words), and the names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses of each presenter, and (3) an identified contact person for the panel, if the Chair is not the convenor.
